The author
I’m a full-time travel writer and photographer, born and raised in Belgium, and based in Brussels. Work takes me around the world, but nowhere feels more like home than here. I’ve spent countless hours wandering through Art Nouveau hallways, exploring obscure museums, and trying the latest local craft beer in a tiny tucked-away bar.
I live here with my Italian partner. Our social life may be a mild cash flow liability, but in my defence, there is just a lot going on in the city. From local bistros to new wine bars, we tend to eat out often. All in the name of research, that's my excuse, and I am sticking with it.
This guide is my love letter to Brussels. It's for people who want to truly experience the city, far removed from the generic list of things to do.

Why this guide is worth it

I loved the mix of famous landmarks and custom itineraries. Especially the beer itinerary that had some very cool local breweries I would not have known about otherwise.

I was super sceptical about Brussels, having heard nothing but bad reviews. I started following BrusselsEdit on Instagram and was amazed by how little I actually knew about the city. I bought the guide and it totally changed my opinion about Brussels. Well written with beautiful pictures and tons of practical information.
